Wat Ounalom Monastery

About

Stepping into Wat Ounalom Monastery felt like hitting the pause button on Phnom Penh's frenetic pace. Compared to other, more well-trodden temples, Ounalom was a sanctuary of tranquility, a hidden gem for quiet contemplation. Intricate carvings, bursting with vivid colors, adorned the structures, each one a silent testament to history. A palpable

sense of serenity permeated the open courtyard, drawing visitors together in a collective moment of reflection. But the most enduring feeling was the deep sense of peace that seemed to wash over us. It stayed with us long after we left, a cherished reminder of the stillness discovered within those timeworn walls.
