Dur­ing our vis­it to Skansen, the open-air mu­se­um on Djurgår­den is­land, we dis­cov­ered the Snus & Match Mu­se­um - a de­light­ful sur­prise we had­n't an­tic­i­pat­ed. Step­ping in­side felt like trav­el­ing through time, un­cov­er­ing the sur­pris­ing­ly rich his­to­ry be­hind these com­mon­place items. The ex­hibits, care­ful­ly arranged with­in im­mer­sive his­tor­i­cal set­tings, vivid­ly il­lus­trat­ed the evo­lu­tion of snuff and match­es. A par­tic­u­lar high­light was the in­ter­ac­tive work­shops where we could tap into our artis­tic side, craft­ing and dec­o­rat­ing our own match­box­es – a unique and mem­o­rable sou­venir from this charm­ing and un­ex­pect­ed­ly cap­ti­vat­ing mu­se­um.
