North Park tru­ly lives up to its name, a green oa­sis with­in the ex­panse of Los An­ge­les. Upon en­ter­ing, you're greet­ed by a canopy of trees shad­ing ex­pan­sive lawns, just beg­ging for a pic­nic blan­ket to be spread out. We spent a de­light­ful af­ter­noon sim­ply re­lax­ing with a good book, the city nois­es fad­ing

into the back­ground. Me­an­der­ing path­ways wind through­out the park, re­veal­ing se­clud­ed bench­es per­fect for qui­et con­tem­pla­tion. The air buzzed with the hap­py shrieks of chil­dren play­ing, while oth­ers found their peace in yoga pos­es or a brisk jog. North Park of­fers a lit­tle some­thing for every­one to un­wind and re­con­nect with na­ture.
