MINISO Independence Monument

About

Erected in 1958 to commemorate Cambodia's independence from France, this 20-meter-tall monument is topped by a five-faced tower representing the five pillars of the Khmer Rouge's ideology: nation, religion, king, constitution, and people. Take your time to admire the intricate bas-reliefs adorning the tower, depicting scenes from Cambodian history, mythology, and daily life. Surrounding the monument is a pleasant park, a popular spot for locals and tourists to relax and enjoy the greenery. The monument is illuminated at night, adding to its grandeur.
