Step­ping into Le Chien de la Lune is like step­ping back in time. Imag­ine a clas­sic Parisian brasserie with an at­mos­phere straight from a black and white film. The restau­rant buzzes with en­er­gy, a melody of con­ver­sa­tion and the joy­ful clink­ing of glass­es. Though not ex­ten­sive, the menu presents a care­ful­ly cho­sen ar­ray of French culi­nary trea­sures. Our steak frites were cooked im­pec­ca­bly, ex­pert­ly sea­soned and served along­side a gen­er­ous mound of crisp, gold­en fries. The wine list is equal­ly im­pres­sive, and the servers are at­ten­tive with­out be­ing in­tru­sive. It's a spot to lose your­self in the mood, rel­ish­ing each bite and every sip as the evening drifts by.
