The Con­ser­va­to­ry of Flow­ers in San Fran­cis­co is a Vic­to­ri­an-style glasshouse that hous­es an ar­ray of plants from around the world. The con­ser­va­to­ry was built in 1879 and is one of the old­est botan­i­cal gar­dens in the Unit­ed States. It is home to more than 1,700 dif­fer­ent plant species, in­clud­ing or­chids, ferns, and trop­i­cal plants. The con­ser­va­to­ry is a pop­u­lar tourist des­ti­na­tion and is of­ten used for wed­dings and oth­er events.
